On the morning of August 3rd, 2022, VNU President Le Quan awarded the Medal for the Development of VNU to Dr. Le Tu Minh – Alumni of Political Economy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMG Investment Joint Stock Company, Vice Chairman of the Alumni Club of VNU, in recognition of his contributions to the development of VNU.
Speaking at the ceremony, VNU President Le Quan emphasized that Dr. Le Tu Minh, as an alumnus of VNU, has been making many contributions to the IMG Vietnamese Talent Scholarship for Vietnamese talents and is a prestigious and successful businessman. Medal for the Development - a noble title of VNU awarded to him as recognition and sincere thanks for his attachment and companionship with VNU over the past. And also the belief and wish that he will continue to join hands to build VNU in the coming time, especially in the position of the Executive Board of the Entrepreneur Club.
It can be said that Dr. Le Tu Minh is a great example of the combination of a scientist, a businessman, and a social activist with significant contributions to Vietnam in general and VNU in particular.
Sponsored by IMG, through the VNU Foundation, it is dedicated to awarding 02 excellent students and 02 excellent lecturers annually. Prize levels in the first year are 300 million and 150 million VND.
VNU expects that in the coming years, the value of the prize for honored scientists will be up to 1 billion VND per person.
This will be an annual activity of VNU to recognize, honor, and encourage academic excellence and efforts of the faculty and students every year. This activity is implemented through funding sources at the VNU Foundation, pioneered by Dr. Le Tu Minh in particular and IMG in general.
Dr. Le Tu Minh expressed his respect for receiving the Medal of VNU and felt his responsibility as an alumnus is even greater. He is proud to be an alumnus of VNU - a leading international research training institution, the cradle of many top scientists, with many successful alumni, contributing to the development of the country.
He said, with the consensus between IMG Company and VNU leaders, in the coming time, the fund will partly support young talents and excellent teachers who are working and studying at VNU to have more motivation to promote the internal strength of each student and lecturer, contributing to the strength of young talents who have made a lot of contributions and contributions to the country.
He believes that, with the new direction, focusing on investment and nurturing young talents, and focusing on the basic science that VNU is currently implementing, it will partly change the world and the country. He pledged that, from the 2nd year, IMG company will sponsor contributions and award scholarships to outstanding young talents, gratitude to teachers, the value of the scholarship will be up to 1 billion VND per person.
IMG's small contribution will warm the feelings of teachers and encourage students and young generations to have more motivation to grow up.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Tu, representative of the VNU Foundation, received a grant from IMG with a total value of 1.1 billion VND.
