On April 4th, 2022, in Hoa Lac, the Investment Promotion Department, in collaboration with VNU Foundation, had a meeting with Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) on sponsoring facilities for the opening ceremony of the academic year 2022 - 2023 of VNU in Hoa Lac.
At the meeting, the Head of the Investment Promotion Department and Director of VNU Foundation, Tran Thi Thanh Tu, welcomed the representatives of SHB Bank Thang Long, led by Ms. Vu Thi Nguyet Anh - Deputy Director in charge of Research Center, Market Development and Large Corporate.
SHB is currently ranked in the top 5 largest joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam, top 10 most prestigious joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam, top 50 best enterprises in Vietnam, top 100 ASEAN banks, top 500 banks that have the most significant brand value in the world and is one of 10 credit institutions with important influence in the Vietnamese banking system… SHB was honored to be awarded the second-class labor medal (2nd time), third-class labor medal, and many flags, certificates of merit from the government, ministries, branches, unions, and other noble awards.
Speaking to the representatives of the SHB Thang Long, the Head of the Investment Promotion Department, Tran Thi Thanh Tu, shared about the scale, organization plan, and facilities items expected to sponsor for the opening ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu emphasized that this was the first opening ceremony of VNU at the new campus and also marked a turning point for VNU. According to the plan that the VNU Youth Union and Student Association organized, the series of programs for VNU Club’s Day in 2022 is estimated to attract about 2000 students. This is an opportunity for SHB to promote and bring the brand closer to students.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on funding for facilities in the opening ceremony of VNU on October 23, with a total sponsorship worth VND 272,890,000, as well as a consensus about the sponsor's benefits during the implementation of the sponsorship contract.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Investment Promotion Department, Tran Thi Thanh Tu, thanked the representatives of SHB Thang Long for their special attention and support to VNU. She hoped that VNU would have many opportunities to cooperate with SHB for mutual development towards good common goals in the future.
After the meeting, the representatives of SHB Thang Long visited the HT1 and HT2 lecture halls to look at the location of the ATM right at the campus of VNU.
