VNU-VSL Writing Camp – Connect to develop

The Writing Camp model has been developed in universities around the world for many years; in which, the key members are experienced and have good professional capacity and especially are willing to share, train and support young scientists who do not have much experience in research or attracting fund for international research and publication.
In the actual context, improving scientific research capacity and international publication of scientists in VNU is one of the most important and core components to develop pillars in the innovation and entrepreneurship education ecosystem. Therefore, VNU Scientist Links (VNU-VSL) has proposed to be the host organization of the Writing Camp (VSL - Writing Camp) to contribute to one of the pillars for the formation and development of the innovation education ecosystem in VNU.

With the topic of “Proposal Writing for International Research Projects,” Writing Camp No. 1 - VNU-VSL Writing Camp No.1 was organized by VNU Scientist Links (VSL) from October 22-24, 2021 in Hoa Lac with the support of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) for VNU's Young Talent Development Fund, transferred to the account of VNU Foundation. VNU Foundation, on behalf of the sponsor, will supervise and manage the program organization according to the agreement between the sponsor and VSL.
Members participating in VNU-VSL Writing Camp had been trained by experts and practiced writing practical subjects. Along with that, the biggest harvest for VSL members when joining Writing Camp No. 1 is forming and developing connections with organizations, research groups, and scientists. Writing Camp No. 1 brought positive experiences to attendees and was an auspicious start for VSL to continue organizing the following Writing Camps.

Following the success of VSL Writing camp No.1, VSL continued to plan and organize VSL Writing Camp No. 2 with the topic of "Improving international publishing capacity in the field of social sciences and humanities" in April, VSL Writing camp 3 with the subject "Quantitative data Analysis and Notes when using Stata in writing articles for international publication " in July and VSL Writing Camp 4 with the topic "Research on Innovation Model and Attracting Funding in university" in August 2022.

In the future, VSL will continue to develop and organize training programs and seminars on different topics, attracting attention of numerous scientists and lecturers inside and outside VNU.
