VNU Foundation cooperates with Military Bank to carry out the bus project accompanying VNU students on the way to school!
The VNU Hoa Lac campus project was approved by the Government in 2002 to build the most modern and advanced university campus in Southeast Asia. The project has a total investment of more than VND 25,000 billion (according to the 2015 estimate) with a capacity of up to 60,000 students. After a journey of 20 years, on May 19th, 2022, with the determination of the leaders, officials, lecturers and students, VNU moved its headquarters to Hoa Lac, concretized part of the Prime Minister's direction on building a 5-in-1 university campus.
In that context, VNU has received a lot of support andss contribution from alumni, especially business alumni in investing in facilities, building temporary operating houses for agencies, and scholarship programs for excellent students and lecturers. The companionship of alumni is a practical action and real value for students studying and practising at VNU, as well as showing gratitude and respect for teachers in the old school where they used to study and grow up. In the immediate future, when the public transport system has not been fully developed, although there are 02 bus routes in the city, teachers and students still have difficulties travelling, especially in peak hours. If there is a separate bus system for VNU staff, lecturers and students, travelling between the inner city campus (Xuan Thuy and Thanh Xuan) to Hoa Lac, then it will be more convenient for them to go to work and go to school every day.
Therefore, VNU Foundation, in cooperation with Military Bank (MB), has worked together to implement the project calling for donations from individuals, organizations and businesses to make dreams come true. This is an opportunity to collaborate with VNU to create long-term and practical values, contributing to the development of future human resources for the benefit of the community. Generations of alumni, businesses and individuals have joined hands to contribute to the transformation of VNU.
With a set target of 3 billion VND, the donation starts on October 23, 2022, and is expected to be completed and awarded in December 2022. The cooperation in building a charity app between VNU and MB ensures transparency and clarity because the account statement of income and expenditure will be updated continuously 24/7, and all individuals and organizations can easily follow.
